Meet your clinic’s athlete

Born in Vienne, France, Coline Ballet-Baz moved to Grenoble at the age of 17 to study Political Science at the prestigious Institute of Political Studies. Her quest for global perspective led her, unexpectedly, to skiing, via rollerblading in skate parks. She quickly became addicted to freestyle skiing. At the age of 21 she joined the French freestyle national team, and followed the competition circuit to the X Games, Dew Tour, and World Championships to compete in Big Air and Slopestyle. Through it all, she learned to trust her guts and her vision and follow it, no matter what. “I've always been interested in what was going on in the world, and passionate about outdoor mountain activities, so I try to combine these aspects with skiing more and more in my video projects.” After showcasing women in freeskiing in two movies, she is now making a documentary “Passages” about the solidarity and migration movements at the Italian-French border, near Briançon, France. Dedicated to filmmaking, mountaineering, highlining, and keeping her carbon footprint as low as possible, Ballet-Baz sees skiing as one of the most beautiful ways to move on a mountain and an opportunity to grow our respect for the giants that bring us so much joy and knowledge about ourselves. She is an ambassador for POW (Protect Our Winters) and Riders for Refugees.
